P & C Committee FAQs
What is the P&C?

The P&C (Parents & Citizens) Association is a group of parents, carers and community members who work together to support the school through fundraising, volunteering and community engagement.

Who can join the P&C?

All parents, carers and community members are welcome to join. You don’t need any special experience — just an interest in supporting the school and students.

What does the P&C do?

The P&C:

  • Raises funds for school resources and improvements
  • Supports the operation of the canteen and uniform shop
  • Organises events and fundraising activities
  • Provides a voice for parents and carers
  • Works collaboratively with the school leadership team
How are funds raised by the P&C used?

Funds raised go directly back into the school community. This may include playground improvements, classroom resources, technology, student wellbeing initiatives, and special programs.

How often does the P&C meet?

The P&C usually meets once per month during the school term. Meeting dates are published on the website and school communication channels.

Do I need to attend every meeting?

No. You can attend as often as your schedule allows. Every contribution — big or small — makes a difference.

How do I become a committee member?

Committee positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Members can nominate themselves for roles at that time.

To be eligible, Committee Members must also be a financially contributing member of the P&C.

What roles are available on the committee?
  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
How can I volunteer without being on the committee?

You can volunteer at events, assist in the canteen, help in the uniform shop, or support fundraising initiatives without holding an official committee position.

Do I need experience to volunteer?

No experience is necessary. Support and guidance are provided, and we welcome all skill levels.

How can I raise an idea or suggestion?
  • Attend a meeting and raise it during general business
  • Email the P&C
How do I access meeting minutes?

Meeting minutes are available on the P&C Facebook page.

Meeting minutes are available on the P&C website or via the link shared after each meeting.

You can contact the P&C via email, the Facebook page, or through the school office.
